Peter Pan Flies to the Stage in Alpine

Alpine Community Theater, 5 July 2013

Alpine Community Theater (ACT) brings Peter Pan to the stage on selected dates July 12-22. First produced on Broadway with Mary Martin as Peter Pan, this is one of the world's most celebrated musicals about a good-natured, mischievous boy who can fly and refuses to grow up. Here is all the charm of Peter Pan; Tinker Bell; the children Wendy, Michael, and John; Captain Hook; pirates and Indians; embellished with show-stopping songs: "Never Never Land," "I Won't Grow Up," "I'm Flying,” and “I Gotta Crow.”

Under the guidance of producer and executive director Laura Snyder, ACT’s production boasts a cast and crew of nearly 200 children, teens, and adults. The cast is led by Cheyenne Lee in the title role, with Stephen Tobian playing Captain Hook and Keith Allen playing Hook’s bumbling sidekick, Smee. Cora Stone will appear as Wendy Darling, and Brittanie Cooper will play Tiger Lily, Peter’s faithful friend.

Peter Pan will be presented nightly at 7:00 on July 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 22, with a matinee also on July 20 at 2:00 p.m. The show will be performed at Timberline Middle School, 500 W. Canyon Crest Road, in Alpine.
